Smart Elbow
In contrast to traditional “impact” elbows and “plugged-tee” elbows that rely on material impact to change direction, HammerTek’s SMART ELBOW® design features a spherical chamber that extends partially beyond the desired 90° or 45° pathway. This design causes a ball of material suspended in air to rotate as it encounters the chamber. The rotation of the material ball, aligned with the airstream’s direction, gently deflects incoming material around the bend without impacting the elbow wall, thereby preventing costly wear, material degradation, melting, and plugging commonly associated with conventional elbows.
